Castles

One thing I miss about Britain living in America, is the history. The ancient buildings, ruins and castles. I started painting the old Welsh castles that Edward I built, his colossal ring of fortresses known as the "Iron Ring". These medieval castles were a continuance of his father's (Henry III) scheme of building strategically placed castles in effect to keep the Welsh in check. I have extended my list of castle paintings to include other castles and relics from my British ancestry. Click on images to view
